Missions

Living Sent — Across the Street, Across the Nation, and Across the World

At Red Bank Baptist Church and The Point Church, missions is more than an activity — it’s our calling. We believe God has placed us here to share the hope of Jesus in our city, throughout our nation, and to the ends of the earth. Through mission partnerships, ministry teams, and hands-on service, we join God’s work of redemption and transformation in every context He leads us.

World Missions Offering

Supporting Missions Year-Round

The World Missions Offering (WMO) is the primary way our church supports local, national, and international mission efforts. Through this offering, we are able to:

  • Fund International Missions and global mission partners

  • Support National and Local Missions teams

  • Participate in Operation Christmas Child and outreach initiatives

Gifts to the WMO allow our church to engage in mission activities 52 weeks a year, sending teams, providing resources, and helping missionaries focus on ministry rather than fundraising. Every dollar is distributed faithfully and intentionally to advance the Gospel.

GIVE

International Missions

Taking the Gospel to the Nations

Our church partners with missionaries and ministries around the world to share Christ with unreached peoples and support communities in need. Through international mission teams and long-term partnerships, we participate in:

  • Evangelism and discipleship in global communities

  • Leadership and pastoral training

  • Meeting physical and spiritual needs

  • Strengthening long-term missionary work

2026 International Mission Opportunities

  • We are partnering with two churches and a private Christian school in Franca, Brazil. On this trip, we will have two evangelical services in which we will preach the gospel in a public event space and promote both churches. Additionally, we will promote the private school by hosting a sports camp for local children, where we will have daily interactions with families and opportunities for devotionals and gospel conversations. This trip will be July 10-19.

  • Our Student Ministry international trip is an opportunity for our youth to take the gospel internationally and participate in evangelism, VBS, and serve other needs of those we partner with. This trip's destination is usually a country in Central America, and it takes place during spring break in March.

  • On this trip, we go to Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras. Our team assists with facility maintenance and other needs. This trip usually takes place in February.

  • Our emphasis in Africa is often in the country of Uganda. During these trips, there is often pastoral training for local pastors, local evangelism, and Pastor Sam preaches at a peace rally. This trip often takes place in July.

Global Missions

Through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, our international partnerships provide International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries with essential support — training, living resources, medical care, and clean water — so they can focus on reaching the unreached with the Gospel.

National Missions

Serving Across the Country

We join God’s work across the United States and Canada by supporting missionaries and sending teams to serve alongside church planters and local ministries. National Missions includes:

  • Mission trips beyond Chattanooga

  • Support for North American missionaries

  • Partnership with church plants and community ministries

Through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, more than 3,000 North American Mission Board (NAMB) missionary families serve throughout North America, planting churches and meeting needs in some of the most unreached and underserved communities.

2026 National Mission Opportunities

  • Partnering with church planter Matt Brewer in Byhalia, Mississippi. This is a family-oriented trip where we will share the gospel and promote Matt Brewer’s church to the local community. This trip will take place June 25-30.

  • Rexburg, Idaho, has the lowest percentage of Christians of any city in the United States. We are partnering with Mike Palmer to go to Rexburg and share the good news of Jesus with this heavily Mormon-influenced city. Our family-oriented, evangelical-focused mission trip to Rexburg will take place in late June.

  • Our Intermountain West trip is a construction-focused trip geared toward helping churches with facility maintenance. This trip often takes place in mid-July. The destination changes based on need.

Local Missions

Reaching Chattanooga With the Love of Christ

Our mission field begins right here at home. Through Local Missions, our church seeks to make a difference in everyday ways:

  • Community outreach events

  • Ministry partnerships in Chattanooga

  • Hands-on service and compassion ministries

  • Building Gospel-centered relationships with neighbors

Local Missions aims to bring hope, healing, and transformation to our city — one act of love and one conversation at a time.

Operation Christmas Child

Sharing Joy With Children Around the World

Each year, our church partners with Samaritan’s Purse in sending shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. These shoeboxes—often a child’s first gift—carry:

  • Practical items

  • Messages of joy and hope

  • The Good News of Jesus Christ

Every box becomes an opportunity for children and families to encounter the Gospel.

How You Can Join the Mission

  • Pray for missionaries around the world and for opportunities to share Christ in your daily life.

  • Support mission partners and teams through faithful, intentional giving.

  • Be ready to serve locally, nationally, or internationally. God may call you across the street – or across the world.

Disaster Relief

The Disaster Relief ministry provides help, hope, and healing to those affected by disasters, whether they be local, in-state, or out-of-state. Our men and women volunteers are trained and ready to respond with chainsaws, flood recovery, and rebuild equipment. Through this work, people receive physical assistance, hope for recovery, and an opportunity to hear the gospel and see the love of Christ in action. To learn more, visit the Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief website or call the church office at 423.877.4514.
